Why 1064nm Nd:YAG is the safe choice
At 1064nm, light is only weakly absorbed by melanin in the epidermis and reaches deeper into the dermis than any other hair-removal wavelength. That combination makes Polylase ND uniquely safe and effective on darker and tanned skin (Fitzpatrick IV–VI), where shorter wavelengths carry a higher risk of burns and pigment change.
Beyond hair, the long-pulsed Nd:YAG excels at vascular work — leg veins, spider veins and facial vessels — as well as nail-fungus treatment and gentle collagen-stimulating rejuvenation, all cooled comfortably by AQUA COOL.
