Why 1064nm Nd:YAG is the safe choice

At 1064nm, light is only weakly absorbed by melanin in the epidermis and reaches deeper into the dermis than any other hair-removal wavelength. That combination makes Polylase ND uniquely safe and effective on darker and tanned skin (Fitzpatrick IV–VI), where shorter wavelengths carry a higher risk of burns and pigment change.
